Green Bloc @ The People's march for Climate, Justice + Jobs

Registration is closed for this event

Around the world in major cities, people will be coming together to demand that our governments take action to save our beautiful planet. Across the UK, people will be working together to make this the biggest, most poignant demonstration yet, and our unified voice will resonate from London across the globe to call for real action on climate change.

The marches will coincide with a weekend of activity all over the UK and the world, with marches also being held in neighboroughing Scotland and in Paris itself, among many countries.

The Green Party are organising a Bloc at the march so that Green Party supporters can be a visible presence within the climate movement.

If you are going to join us in the Green Bloc at the demonstration please fill register.

Members of the Green Bloc are asked to arrive at 10:30 am at the corner of Park Lane and Deanery Street. Stewards will arrive shortly after and will get tabards. You will assist in a briefing for the stewards giving them a more detailed overview on what their responsibilities will be like that day.

At 12 pm, it will be time for the official form up of the rally. Additional Green Party supporters will start to arrive and stewards will hand them placards and welcome them. Then follows the opening rally on the Fire Brigade Union's fire truck where there will be musicians, performance poets, Political speakers and union speakers.

The front of the demonstration will kick off at Park Lane at 1 pm followed by the closing rally at 2:30 pm.

The final tasks for the day will be at 4 pm when the demo ends and supporters are guided to the "Green after party" at Prince of Wales. Members of the bloc are to gather up GPEW placards which are to be collected in the van and be recycled in Old Palace Yard.
