Candidate for Waveney

Elfrede Brambley-Crawshaw

Green Party General Election Candidate

I live in the Waveney constituency in the Market Town of Beccles with my husband and two children. Both of my children attend local schools, and I take an active part in the local community.
I represent Beccles on the County and District Council, served as Mayor of Beccles for 2018/2019 and am currently deputy leader of the Lib-dem, Green and Independent Group at Suffolk County Council.

Earlier this year I was instrumental in persuading the County to declare a climate emergency and I currently sit on the policy development panel to take this further.
I am keen to promote policy which make lives better and mitigates climate change, including better public transport, safe towns for pedestrians, support for local food production and the protection and increase of green spaces.

I graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2005 with a degree in Modern History and Politics.
