Candidate for North Swindon

Andy Bentley

Green Party General Election Candidate

I'm a 54 year old IT Consultant and, more importantly, dad to two wonderful children.

It was my beliefs as a Humanist that drew me to the Green Party. The commitment to fundamental change for the elimination of inequality and for a more just society made it the obvious choice. No other party has the same long-term view or the willingness to embrace the radical changes required to deliver it. The same was true of our environmental policies. I want to make the world a better place and preserve it not just for my kids but everyone across the globe, not just now but for future generations, and not just for us but for everything we share this little planet with.

Greens stand up for what they believe in. I am very proud to be representing the only Party that has consistently been pro-Europe, anti-austerity, and that has always recognised the climate emergency as the number one issue facing us today.

I will fight for strong public services, for good local schools and social housing. Without these things I would not be who I am today, and I will fight to give others the same opportunities in life that I have had.

Underpinning everything I do will be the passion for a fair and just society where every person is valued, cared for and listened to.
