Candidate for Lancaster and Fleetwood

Caroline Jackson

Green Party General Election Candidate

I am a long time resident of Lancashire, over thirty five years. I spent the majority of my working life as an English teacher in Lancashire, ending my career as headteacher at Hornby High School. I have been a Green Party councillor for Bulk ward in the Lancaster District for seven years. Since the May 2019 election I have been a cabinet member in the Alliance administration that runs Lancaster city council. My portfolio is Housing, including homelessness and refugees.and my current priorities are getting building of council housing under way and working on the problem of entrenched rough sleeping in the district. Beyond council matters I also help run a weekly food club for 25 families and set up a 6 acre food growing project known as Claver Hill.
