Green Party General Election Candidate

Vix has stood in Parliamentary Elections for the Green Party on the Isle of Wight in 2015 and 2017 - increasing the vote from 900 in 2010 to most recently a huge 12,915. This is the 2nd highest Green vote in Westminster elections, surpassed only by Caroline Lucas MP.
A single mum of 3 boys, she is a secondary school teacher on the island and has been the party's national spokesperson for education for the last three years.
Vix's priorities for the Isle of Wight are supporting access to public services, protecting the wildlife and countryside and developing a resilient local economy. She is a councillor in the rural West Wight and campaigns against school cuts, oil drilling and threatened closure of local hospital services.
