Jack Lenox

Green Party General Election Candidate

Jack is originally from Essex and moved to Cumbria with his partner in 2012. He has been living in Keswick since 2013. Notably he stood as the Green Party's candidate in the 2017 Copeland by-election. He has also stood in Borough and County Council elections.

He is a leading figure in the movement for improving the environmental credentials of the internet and is a founding signatory of the Sustainable Web Manifesto. He is an active member of ClimateAction.Tech and the W3C Sustainable Web Design group. He was recently involved in coordinating the worldwide Digital Climate Strike which accompanied September's Global Climate Strike. He has just finished a stint serving at a national level on the Green Party Executive with responsibility for Internal Communications.

Jack works as a software engineer for Automattic, the company behind the WordPress.com website-building platform, and is currently studying for an MSc in Sustainability and Behaviour Change at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Mid Wales.
