Candidate for Blackpool South
I have lived in Blackpool for most of my life and have three children; one of whom attends high school in the local area and two who are home educated. I currently work part-time as a personal assistant but have been involved in the childcare sector for the last 15 years, and am currently working towards a degree in Teaching and Learning Support. I became involved in environmental activism in 2014, a path that has led me to a place within the Blackpool and the Fylde Green Party.
Earlier this year I ran as a paper candidate for a councillor position in my local area which opened my eyes to local issues and concerns that I have faced as a resident but this is my first foray into politics. I want to be a voice for the people, I believe we should all have a voice in how our community is run and that everyone should be given an opportunity to do this and this is why I am an advocate for peoples assemblies and fully support Blackpool councils decision to hold them in the future.
Education, youth provision, health and wellbeing, local community and the environment are just some of my priorities. More information on these can be found on the Blackpool and Fylde Green Party page.
