Candidate for Birmingham, Edgbaston
I am proud to have lived and worked in Birmingham for over 50 years. Having worked for Birmingham City Council looking after its footpaths and roads, advised planners about transport and working always on frontline local services I know what Birmingham can achieve.
In my local community I have been involved in all aspects whether preservation (The Harborne Society), wildlife (Moor Pool Wildlife Group), church (St Marys), Third World (Cafod) or green politics. I’ve stood for the Green Party in elections since 1981 and achieved over 3% in 2015.
I moved to Harborne in 1971. I joined the Green party in 1979. I married Marion, a local GP, and we bought up our children and grandchildren here, going to the excellent local schools. I served for 26 years as a magistrate and now serve as a trustee of the Moor Pool Heritage Trust.
I am the local candidate.
