Candidate for Ashford

Mandy Rossi

Green Party General Election Candidate

Mandy is a self-employed training consultant and coach, with her own small business and has a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology and Criminology. She has lived in Ashford for 20 years, after moving from nearby Shepway. She believes that now more than ever a Green alternative is required locally and nationally focusing specifically on affordable housing, and jobs that pay a living wage. Mandy wants to see the town centre and communities thrive, and believes that she can be a strong voice for the residents of Ashford.

Mandy is the co-founder of Wombles of Willesborough, a community litter pick initiative in Ashford, volunteers regularly at The Retreat Animal Rescue Sanctuary, and has campaigned on many issues locally including Climate Change, Air Quality, Save our NHS in Kent, and for improved cycle routes through Ashford.

As a Green MP Mandy pledges to campaign strongly for cheaper transport, cleaner air to breathe and proper jobs that pay a living wage instead of zero hours contracts. She will also work hard to safeguard our NHS, re-nationalise our railways, protect our environment and for the devolution of planning laws to local authority level.
