Candidate for Arundel and South Downs
Isabel Thurston has lived in the constituency for 20 years and is both an Arun District Councillor and an elected member of the South Downs National Park Authority. Isabel has worked in publishing and education, as well as running a smallholding and bringing up two daughters. Alongside that, she has been active in the Green Party for 30 years, originally in Stroud with some of the first ever elected Green councillors. She has campaigned on a wide range of issues including climate change, road building and air pollution. She is a passionate advocate for public transport and has always chosen to live within easy reach of a station so that she can make as many journeys as possible by train. She stood in the Arundel and South Downs constituency in 2015, winning 6.4% of the vote.
